Yes, I know what you're thinking - like Isaac Newton's discovery of gravity, so simple, so elegant, so obvious, why has it never occurred to anyone before?
Laid out below are the results of my research so far. I may have to devote the rest of my life to this quest but if that's what it takes, so be it. My reward will be that future generations will remember my name with open mouthed astonishment when ever they think of this truly great undertaking.
Every man has within him a great need to leave his mark on the world. Some become explorers, some are remembered for great inventions and others make world changing discoveries.
Names such as Christopher Columbus, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein spring easily to mind. These and countless other intellectual giants have left an indelible mark in history. Now, in the spirit of endless human curiosity, I humbly submit my contribution by attempting to answer a fundamental but so far overlooked question of universal magnitude;
