I’ve been collecting £2 coins since - well, since I stopped collecting £1 coins. It’s been a long haul, mostly because I was trying to fill a particularly big tin, but after about 6 years I finally got there (well damn close anyway). It took such a long time because, despite making it widely known, no-one seemed particularly eager to help me in my endeavour.
I opened the tin I had accrued a grand total of £668 (phew, just £2 less and there’d have been something of the devil about it). So, what next? Back to £1 coins and a smaller tin, it’s not so exciting at the grand opening but at least it doesn’t take so long to get there.
